The Holidays are a time of family, love, and fun — and sometimes stress.  Preparing big dinners, decorating, gift-buying, while all good things can lead some Orange County residents down a stressful road.  That being said, many Orange County sellers decide to take their homes off the market during the holiday season.  Maybe they think planning for family visitors is enough — they don’t have time to keep the house clean for and open to potential buyers!

In typical trends for this time of year, the active listing inventory in Orange County has dropped by over 250 homes in the past two weeks as many sellers decide to take a holiday home-selling break.  Over the past month, the Orange County real estate inventory has dropped by over 600 — a 7% drop.  For the first time since April 2010, active listings in Orange County are below the 9000 mark.  Many real estate professionals, myself included, believe that a number of these South and North Orange County homes will be re-listed after the New Year.
