As a realtor in Orange County for over 25 years, I understand the importance of staying relevant, involved, and informed. That being said, I recently attended a Social Networking seminar presented by the very active Inman Real Estate group.  During the day’s speakers, I was reminded of the need to stay current on what is happening in my south County neighborhood. You see, not only do I buy and sell South Orange County homes on behalf of my clients, but I live and work here.

South Orange County has been my home for over 30 years. I’ve seen it go from orange and lemon groves to new, master-planned communities — and trust me, I’m usually one of the first to know about these developments. In fact, I know of a few set to be breaking ground in the near future. Yep, it’s my job (and luckily a genuine interest of mine) to stay informed about what is happening in South Orange County. This is one of the reasons I am a legislative liaison for the California Association of Realtors — I want to be involved in what is happening in my community.

Some of you might already follow me on Twitter @CherylSellsOC or on Facebook at CherylSellsOrangeCounty. I have found Social Media to be a great way to connect with other real estate and business professionals and spread the word about my listings, etc… Thanks to the Inman event, I was reminded about the popularity of Social Networking. Long story short, Social Media is great for building relationships and staying involved — two of my favorite things!
